A tightly-fought competition saw only four go through to the jump-off from a starting field of 28, but Lennon was just under two seconds faster than his nearest challenger, Robert Whitaker and Catwalk IV when the clock stopped.

The Banbridge-born rider picked up 13,000 euro along with the The Kingdom of Bahrain Trophy, while Whitaker settled for the runner-up prize of 10,400 euro.
