As part of Equestrian Mental Health Week launched on Monday, Horse Sport Ireland is pleased to publish a list of supports for anyone within the equestrian community to contact if in need of help.

The organisation has been supporting the ‘HAY, How Are Ya’ campaign in association with The Grassroots Gazette this week and would like to draw people’s attention to the following links.

The first is our new helps and supports page, which provides links to a number of organisations who can offer the necessary supports to anyone struggling with their mental health.

Horse Sport Ireland urges anyone from within the equestrian community (regardless of their age, gender or sexual orientation) who needs help to contact any of the organisations for help and support, by clicking on the graphic above.

The second is HSI’s One Good Coach, which is run in partnership with Jigsaw, the National Centre for Youth Mental Health, are delighted to offer this new online mental health course called ‘One Good Coach.’

This free online eLearning resource has been created to help coaches, equestrian volunteers, parents, and affiliate members upskill on how to promote and to support young people’s mental health through the delivery of equestrian sport.

More information on the One Good Coach course is available HERE.
