- 21 May 2020, 20:47
Horse Sport Ireland have been releasing episodes of Team Ireland Training Tips for the past five weeks and what an informative series it has been! If you want to catch up on any previous episodes, check them all out on our YouTube channel by clicking here.
Huge thanks must go to Michael Blake, High Performance Show Jumping Director, and of course to all the athletes who have taken the time to share their knowledge and skills, and to give an insight into their day-to-day training on their yards.
This week, we are joined by Capt. Geoff Curran in the beautiful WT Cosgrave arena at the Army Equitation School in McKee Barracks, Dublin. Check it out below.
Episode 13: Capt. Geoff Curran
Geoff takes us through shortening and lengthening the canter, adding in cavalettis and fences to help make your horse more adjustable.
Don’t forget, the Team Ireland Training Tips series has been nominated for the Irish Field GAIN Equine Nutrition Star of the Month! If you have enjoyed the series, we’d love you to give us your vote! Just head to the Irish Field website and cast your vote. Voting closes on the 28th May, and the winner will be announced on 30th May.
