Note from Polly before Tatts

  • 26 May 2014, 17:43

Well done you have made it to Tattersalls.

Most of you took part in the Ballindenisk CCIP2 star so you know the format. There is a riders briefing at 1pm Tuesday. Please try to be there.

Dress for first trot up – dressage attire with hats and gloves. Girls remember hair nets. Ponies plaited, bridles with number on.  3.30 pm Tuesday.

Sue Smallman will be available to help you with your dressage from Tuesday on by arrangement. Tel 087 7996189.

Con Kennedy, our team vet will be there all week. We will have our own unofficial trot up on Friday evening-time to be decided- to check ponies are ok and deal with any injuries. The ponies will all be measured by him during the week also.

A XC course walk will take place with me on Wednesday for all riders at 4.30 pm meet at fence 1.

Unfortunately Tom Slattery  cannot be present on Saturday, so I have arranged with Ian Fearon to walk the course with you instead. Depending on when the track is ready, Friday evening or Saturday. You must be in Show jumping dress to walk on Saturday.

General Behaviour

This is your final trial and should be treated with such importance. Alcohol is forbidden for under 18s by law. It also contravenes FEI rules. You can be tested at any time and if found to be over the limit eliminated.

Enjoy the week. Remember I am here to help and guide you. Don’t be afraid to ask questions no matter how trivial they may seem. I want you ALL to do the best you can.

Lastly, remember the rest of your team. Parents for making it possible and your most important partner your pony. Make sure he/she is looked after to the very best of your ability as without them you cannot compete.

Best of Luck!

Polly
