CIAN O’Connor powered Super Sox to a sixth place finish in this afternoon’s (Sunday) Longines FEI World Cup Qualifier at the five-star Olympia London International Horse Show.
The Meath rider coaxed two wonderful rounds of jumping out of the nine year-old bay gelding, and briefly held second place in the seventeen-way jump-off, before settling for sixth place at the finish.
The event was won by Italy’s Emanuele Guadiano on Admara, with British riders occupying the next four places ahead of O’Connor.
Bertram Allen also featured in the jump-off with Quiet Easy, but picked up eight faults in the decider to finish outside the top ten.
