One Good Coach

Welcome to One Good Coach

Horse Sport Ireland in partnership with Jigsaw, the National Centre for Youth Mental Health, are delighted to offer this new online mental health course called ‘One Good Coach.’

This online eLearning resource has been created to help coaches, equestrian volunteers, parents, and affiliate members upskill on how to promote and to support young people’s mental health through the delivery of equestrian sport.

The One Good Coach course, which has also been adopted by the GAA, LGFA, the Camogie Association, and Swim Ireland, offers participants a greater understanding of mental health and of the importance of their role as One Good Adult.

Although this course has been designed with HSI coaches in mind, Horse Sport Ireland encourages all equestrians, including parents, members of affiliate bodies and volunteers to participate in this new initiative as a start to promoting better mental health and wellbeing within the sport horse industry.
