O’Neill claims double victory in the seventh leg of the Irish Sport Horse Studbook Series

Castlefield Vegas (ISH) by Cassino (SWWB), owned by Martin Egan and Ger O’Neill, and ridden by Ger O’Neill jumped double clear in a time of 34.02 seconds to win the 7 Year Old Final of the Irish Sport Horse Studbook Showjumping Series for the third time. One of only 7 double clears in the 7 year old class, O’Neill beat off stiff competition from the twenty combinations who made it through to the final.

In the 5 Year Old final, twelve combinations jumped double clear to split the win.

While in the 6 Year Olds, Ger O’Neill triumphed again with Eamon Murphys mare Columbcille Gipsy (ISH), there were only 4 clear rounds. There was €9,500 on offer in Maryville from the Irish Sport Horse Studbook for these young horse classes. The final leg of the ISH Studbook series takes place in The Meadows on 19^th & 20^th August.
