Para Dressage – Ireland Finishes 4th in Deauville Nations Cup

IRELAND’S Para Dressage team finished a very creditable fourth in the ten-team Nations’ Cup at Deauville in France yesterday (Saturday).
Helen Kearney on the Irish Sport Horse Mister Cool scored 68.522/68.522 per cent, while Breda Bernie returned to the team on the former Eventer, the Irish Sport Horse Master Mexico, to obtain 67.480/67.379 per cent.
Geraldine Savage with Blues Tip Top Too scored 65.217/68.696 per cent while Kate Kerr Hogan was the team discard score with Arlande on scores of 63.088/65.286 per cent.
Ireland finished on 405.816, which was not enough to catch a very dominant British team, who came home on a total score of 439.900 per cent.
The Irish riders all recorded top ten individual places during the weekend, with Helen Kearney’s third place in the Team Test Grade 1A and another third in the Grade 1A Freestyle on Sunday with Mr. Cool the best of the scores.
