Pony riders in European Championship action this weekend

Team Ireland Equestrian’s pony riders travel to Aarhus Vilhelmsborg (DEN) this week for the European Championships, where Ireland will be represented in showjumping, eventing and dressage. The dressage team will be first to compete, with their first competition taking place today (Wednesday) at the Danish venue. Thursday will see the showjumping and eventing begin their European campaign.

Elsewhere on the showjumping circuit, Irish riders will compete at  Verbier (FRA), Rockwood Ontario (CAN), Macon Chaintre (FRA), Wiener Neustadt (AUT), Lier (BEL), Auvers (FRA), Williamsburg Michigan (USA) and Darmstadt-Kranichstein (GER). In eventing Ireland will be represented at Somerford Park (GBR) and Bicton (GBR), while in dressage action takes place at Saugerties New York (USA).

This week, in excess of 80 entries have been made for Irish riders competing in FEI competitions. Ireland will be represented in nine different countries by 44 separate riders. All Irish international entries for this week’s shows are now available to view by clicking on the individual shows under ‘FEI Entries & Results’.
