IRELAND’S Judy Reynolds climbed a further two places in the Reem Acra FEI World Cup Dressage rankings after a sparkling performance in the Freestyle to Music competition at London’s Olympia Christmas show tonight (Wednesday).

The Kildare-born rider qualified for tonight’s class after finishing in the top 15 of Tuesday’s Grand Prix, and with Joe and Kathleen Reynolds’s Jazz gelding Vancouver K she came home with a score of 73.525 per cent in a star-studded field, giving her a creditable ninth place, and with the points gained lifting her to 13th overall in the World Cup Dressage standings.

Reynolds is aiming to be the first Irish rider to qualify for the Reem Acra FEI World Cup Dressage Finals in Gothenburg, Sweden next March and she is also trying to book her ticket to compete as an individual rider for Ireland at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.

Tonight’s Olympia competition was won by Britain’s Carl Hester and the 11 year-old gelding Nip Tuck on a finishing score of 83.750 per cent.
