Ryan Takes Speed Trophy at Canteleu

THOMAS RYAN, Ireland’s sole representative at the three-star meeting in Canteleu, France, proved best of the 45 competitors in this afternoon’s (Saturday) 1m45 Dalkia Trophy, when he guided 15-year-old Irish Sport Horse Cruise On Clover to victory.
It was an emphatic win for the Irish rider, as he went clear in 57.50, shaving over one-and-a-half seconds off the lead time of France’s Alix Ragot riding Riale Darmenoville. It was a target that none of the remainder of the field came close to matching.
Another French rider, Julien Gonin, took third in 59.52 riding Well Done.
