Speaking about the event Horse Sport Ireland’s High-Performance Director, Sally Corscadden said:

“We feel it is not going to be a dressage competition as the cross country is strong and technical with plenty of risks for 20 penalties and challenging conditions in the heat. We are lucky to have a very experienced team of riders who have all competed at Luhmühlen before. This will be a great help on cross country day, and we hope to reproduce our great jumping performance from the World Equestrian Games last year. ”

Tomorrow will see Ciaran Glynn, Sarah Ennis and Tony Kennedy compete in the Dressage phase followed by Cathal Daniels and Sam Watson on Friday, Cross Country will take place on Saturday beginning at 10.30am (local time), the final showjumping phase will take place on Sunday. The event will be live streamed by FEI.TV and BBC red button and live updates can be found on the Team Ireland Equestrian social media pages.
