SHOW JUMPING – SPLAINE NAMES MAIN CONTENDERS FOR WORLD EQUESTRIAN GAMES

IRISH show jumping team manager Robert Splaine today (Monday) announced a list of combinations for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games (WEG) in Normandy, France, where the jumping competitions take place from 2 – 7 September 2014.
Splaine said: ” At this point these are the main contenders being considered. However my decision will be announced in August, as other combinations may yet come into contention.”
The combinations named today were, in alphabetical order:
Bertram Allen/Molly Malone V
Cameron Hanley/Antello Z
Dermott Lennon/Loughview Lou Lou (ISH)
Denis Lynch/All Star 5
Cian O’Connor/Quidam’s Cherie
Conor Swail/Lansdowne
Billy Twomey/Diaghilev
BREEDING:
Loughview Lou-Lou (ISH) – 2002 bay mare by Limmerick (HOLST) out of Loughview Diamond Lucy (ISH), by Jack Of Diamonds (ID). Owner/Bred by Judith Sossick, Co. Armagh. Rider: Dermott Lennon (IRL)
