SHOWJUMPING – Down’s Conor Swail wins the CSI4* Wellington Grand Prix

Ireland is off to an impressive start to the year with county Down’s Conor Swail securing a first-place win at the 1.60m four-star Wellington Grand Prix on Saturday the 4th of February.
Swail rode the 16-year-old gelding Count Me In owned by Sandy Lupton and Mannon Farm. Swail and Count Me In also secured Irelands win in the Aga Kgan Trophy at Dublin Horse Show last year.
Earlier this year Swail won the CSI3* Grand Prix at Desert Horse Park (USA) riding Theo 160 owned by Conor Swail and team Philippaerts.
Swail had jumped an impressive two clear rounds in todays Grand Prix leading the Jump-Off in a time score of 38.53.
Swail and four other athletes including county Derry’s own Daniel Coyle were the few able to finish round one with a clear round and progress to the Jump-Off. Coyle came in fifth riding Oak Grove’s Carlyle owned by Ariel Grange with a time score of 42.87.
