Showjumping: Irish Sport Horse Special Lux 2nd in Spruce Meadows $400,000 GP

Mayo bred Irish Sport Horse Special Lux and Jonathan McCrea (USA) continued their run of form when claiming 2nd place in Spruce Meadows CSI5* $400,000 Grand Prix. This May saw Special Lux and McCrea recorded a solid performnce to help Team USA take second place in the CSIO4* Nations Cup of Mexico.

There were further top results for Irish-bred horses at Spruce Meadows CSI5* including a win for Kilkenny bred Suma’s Zorro, ridden by Sameh El Dahan (EGY), in the Atco Structures sponsored 1m50 Table C.

Billy Twomey and the recently Approved Irish Sport Horse stallion Ardcolum Duke recorded a double clear round to take 2nd in the  $370,000 1m50 speed class at the Shanghai Global Champions Tour.
