SJ Breeding: Irish Sport Horse MHS Going Global third on Global Champions Tour debut

Three clear rounds on their Global Champions Tour debut the impressive MHS Going Global (ISH) and Greg Broderick (IRL) took 3rd place in the €300,000 Grand Prix at Estoril CSI5* show. Bred by the Brennan family of Mill House Stud in Kilkenny, the nine year old gelding has already recorded three promising CSIO5* Nations Cup results for Team Ireland this season.

Ireland’s Dermott Lennon and the Irish Sport Horse mare Loughview Lou-Lou continued their run of form with a 2nd placing (to Ireland’s Cian O’Connor) and an 8th in the €200,000 Longines Grand Prix at Falsterbo CSIO5* show. Although Team USA finished the Nations Cup in 6th place the Irish-bred Flaming Star recorded an impressive double clear under Charlie Jacobs.

Adding another win to the tally the Irish Sport Horse mare Colgan Cruise claimed the Friends of the Meadows Cup Derby at Spruce Meadows Pan American CSI4* show under Rich Fellers (USA). Fellers also recorded two 6th place finishes on Friday and Sunday with the trusty Irish Sport Horse stallion Fleixble.

To top off a great weekend for Irish-bred showjumpers the traditionally bred mare Platinum and her Canadian rider Kyle Timm won the $34,000 1.50m Challenge at Tryon CSI4* show.
