SPLAINE NAMES SQUAD FOR AACHEN NATIONS’ CUP

IRISH show jumping manager Robert Splaine today (Wednesday) announced his squad of riders who will attend the five-star Mercedes-Benz Nations’ Cup at Aachen in Germany on July 17.

Though not part of the Furusiyya Series for 2014, Aachen will nevertheless draw some of the world’s top show jumping combinations.

The Irish squad, from which Splaine will select his team of four before the Nations’ Cup competition is, in alphabetical order:

Shane Breen/Confident of Victory or Golden Hawk
Cameron Hanley/Living the Dream
Darragh Kenny/Sans Soucis Z or Imothep
Denis Lynch/All Inclusive NRW
Billy Twomey/Diaghilev

Eight teams will compete at Aachen.
