WEF 6 saw a brilliant win for Ariel and Sue Grange’s talented, 9-year-old grey stallion, Dillenger at the Winter Equestrian Festival , Wellington (FL). Seventy entries lined up for the Challenge Cup sponsored by Ruby et Violette. Swail and Dillenger were one of only four double clears with a jump off time of 39.98 knocking America’s Peter Wylde and Paloma into second place with their time of 41.283. Ireland’s Ronan McGuigan riding Capall Zidane were 9th in the same class.
Swail, who has had the ride on Dillinger since the stallion was a five year old, is thrilled with his progress. “I think he’s going to be a championship horse, I really do think a lot of him,” Swail said.
This evening will see the Irish Nations Cup team compete in Ocala CSIO4 at 19.00 GMT.
