Tattersalls International Horse Trials underway in Co Meath

The 14th annual Tattersalls International Horse Trials is underway at Ratoath in Co. Meath, with top class international competition, kids entertainment, shopping and country fair running right through until Sunday.
The 2019 Tattersalls International Horse Trials has attracted over 350 competitors from 12 different nations, including recent Land Rover Kentucky Three Day Event winner and World No.1 Oliver Townend, World No.3 Tim Price, Zara Tindall and William Fox Pitt. The list of Tattersalls entries also features many of Ireland’s top Eventing riders, including World Equestrian Games silver medalists Padraig McCarthy and Sam Watson.
Dressage is spread over three days before Cross Country starts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday along with Show Jumping on Saturday and Sunday. The Shopping Village spans over three acres and features 80 stands, a fun fair, gourmet food outlets, bars, picnic area and restaurant and tea rooms in Tattersalls Country House.

The Horse Sport Ireland exhibition unit will be on site all week and Tattersalls also features the second leg of the HSI Eventing Challenge. Tattersalls and Goresbridge are also hosting a Select Event Horse Sale this evening (Thursday) during the show.
Meanwhile Horse Sport Ireland are co-sponsoring the Grand Prix at Mullingar International on Bank Holiday Monday. Mullingar is also the third leg of the HSI Showjumping Challenge.
