Ireland’s Conor Swail and Capt. Brian Cournane scored fifth and sixth place finishes respectively in last night’s (Sunday) Pan American Cup at Spruce Meadows five-star show in Canada.
Swail with Rubens LS La Silla and Cournane with Dino, both kept all the fences standing in the first round but were among a group of five riders who saw time faults deny them a place in the jump-off.
Just three combinations went forward to the second round where victory went to Canada’s Mario Deslauriers with Bardolina with the only double clear of the competition.
