Turner names Nations Cup team for Ballindenisk

Horse Sport Ireland Eventing High Performance team manager, Nick Turner, today announced Ireland’s Nations Cup Team for the first eventing home international of the season which takes place in Ballindenisk, Co. Cork this weekend.

The team in alphabetical order will be:

Cathal Daniels riding Barnaboy Freeman (ISH): 2002 black stallion by Cottage Fire (WNTR) out of Lissinard Clover (ISH) by Robertstown Boy (WNTR). Owner/Breeder: Margaret Hynes

Nicola Ennis riding Westwinds Jack Of Hearts (ISH): 2007 Bay gelding by Touchdown (ISH) out of Westwinds Clover (ISH) by Porter Rhodes (TB). Owner/Breeder Alice Kehoe.

Joseph Murphy riding Sportsfield Othello (ISH):  2001 Bay Gelding by Ricardo Z (ZANG) out of Moy View Lady (ISH) by Ring of Ford (TB). Breeder: John Kenny Owners: Jill Murphy, Alison Schmutz & Andrew Tinkler

Michael Ryan riding Ballylynch Adventure (ISH): 2000 chestnut gelding by Don Juan De La Bouverie (SBS) out of Stanman Girl (TB), by Standaan (TB). Bred by John B Hughes, Co. Meath. Owner: Carol & Tom Henry & Sheila Foley.

Speaking about the announcement Turner said;

“I’m delighted to put such a strong team forward for our first home international in Ballindenisk this year with both Sportsfield Othello (ISH) and Ballylynch Adventure (ISH) competing at Badminton four star in just under three weeks time. A notable inclusion is Nicola Ennis making her Nations Cup debut riding Westwinds Jack Of Hearts (ISH), I’m looking forward to a great performance and would like to wish the team the best of luck.”
