If you answered yes to the questions above this is the opportunity for you. The Horse Sport Ireland (HSI) Coaching Department is looking to add to the existing team of demo riders for coaching courses at all levels from Introduction to Coaching to Level 3.

This is a unique opportunity to further your skills as a rider under expert guidance. All HSI Coaching courses are delivered by HSI Coach Developers, trained by Sport Ireland Coaching (SIC), all of whom are nationally and internationally renowned coaches. Demo riders will have the opportunity to work closely with professional coaches, to gain experience and advice on how to improve their own performance as well as that of their horses / horses.

The HSI Coaching Programme is designed to provide candidates with a pathway to a career as a successful coach. The courses are delivered by professional equestrian coach educators, using modern techniques to improve both horses’ and riders’ performance, making it a great learning environment for demo riders as well as coaches.

Practical coaching experience is an integral part of each coaching course. The practical sessions within each course enable coaches to further their knowledge and experience while under the guidance of a coach developers. Demo riders need to communicate and work closely with coach developers as well as interacting with the coaches on the course.

Demo riders are required for dressage, show jumping and eventing. Riders are welcome to register demo ride in one or more disciplines as appropriate

The standard of riding and horse required varies depending on the coaching course. HSI welcomes applications from riders who are training and / or competing from Preliminary level Dressage to Prix St George, 80cm Show Jumping to 1.45m and intro level Eventing to CCI4*.
