Venue announced for the HSI Show Jumping Mare Championship

HSI is delighted to announce that the 2016 HSI Showjumping Mare Championships will take place at Cavan Equestrian Centre. The qualifier will take place on Friday 21st October and the final on Sunday 23rd October 2016.  A prize fund of €15,000 will be on offer for the Championships which is open to 5 and 6 year old mares that are registered in a studbook that is a member of the WBFSH, or registered with Weatherbys.

Commenting on the Championships, Alison Corbally, HSI Director of Breeding and Programmes, “We are expecting the Mare Championships to attract the best young show jumping mares in Ireland as there is a significant prize fund on offer.  €4,000 of the prize fund is allocated to breeding incentives to encourage the owners of the highest placed mares to breed form them early in their career.  We hope the Championships generate a lot of interest within the industry and raise the profile of our young and talented mares.”
