Women In Sport Week video – Sarah Slattery on life, her cancer journey and road to Paralympics

To celebrate International Women’s Day 2025 and Women In Sport Week, Horse Sport Ireland sat down with Sarah Slattery to give an insight in the video below into her life and career as a Paralympian.

Sarah tells us all about her career, from her cancer diagnosis at the age of eight through to her incredible performance in Paris 2024 where she finished seventh in the Paralympics Final.

From sitting on her mount Savona for the first time just five weeks after giving birth, to her family stealing the hearts of everyone at the Games in Paris, Sarah goes in-depth in this fascinating story.
