World Breeding Championships take centre stage this weekend

The FEI World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses take place this weekend at Lanaken (BEL). The prestigious World Championships for 5, 6 and 7 year old horses, kick off on Thursday morning with the three Finals taking place on Sunday. Elsewhere on the showjumping circuit, Team Ireland Equestrian will be represented at Rome Foro Italico (ITA), Canteleu (FRA), Vilamoura (POR), New York (USA), Caledon Ontario (CAN), Darmstadt-Kranichstein (GER), Gorla Minore (ITA), Moorsele (BEL), New Albany Ohio (USA) and Herneacova (ROU).
In eventing, Ireland plays host to a home international this weekend, with action taking place at Ballindenisk (IRL). Irish eventers will also compete at Waregem (BEL), while in dressage competition takes place at Saumur (FRA). This week more than 200 international entries have been made for over 1oo Irish riders competing in FEI competitions worldwide.
