FEI World Breeding Jumping Championships
For Young Horses - Lanaken
The WBFSH FEI World Breeding Jumping
Championships for Young Horses take place annually in
September in Lanaken, Belgium, where the world's best
5, 6 and 7 year old show jumpers compete. All horses
must be registered in a WBFSH member studbook and
each country is given a quota for the number of horses
they can select to compete per age category. The 15
Irish Sport Horses selected to compete in 2013 are
shown on the next page with their results. The Irish Chef
d'Equipe was Jack Doyle. Below is a graph showing
the results from the championships between 2003
and 2013. In 2013, Arraghbeg Clover (ISH) and Greg
Broderick were crowned 5 Year Old World Champions
at Lanaken.
