HSI's weekly Equestrian News covers Irish-bred horses competing on the world stage. The station reinforces Ireland's image as the `Land of the Horse'. Just one month post launch, online viewing figures had risen to 38,000. The channel can be viewed at on Rolestown and Helen Kearney on Mister Cool, at the official opening of the National Horse Sport Arena at the National Sports Campus, Abbotstown, Co. Dublin. Campus in Blanchardstown, was officially opened on 9th October 2013 by the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Leo Varadkar. Located within the Walled Garden of Abbotstown House, a protected structure, the new arena will give Irish equestrian athletes access to world-class facilities for a diverse range of equestrian sports. Developed in accordance with the High Performance training needs of equestrian riders, Affiliates, it is the first publicly-owned facility of its kind in Ireland and will be managed by the National Sports Campus. The National Horse Sport Arena is the main base for Team Ireland Equestrian training. With 10 stables on site, athletes can rest their horses before or after training as required. Riders can avail of other facilities on site as well as coaching and rehabilitation services.
