Updated figures of passport applications processed on Horse Source – January 31st, 2025

Horse Sport Ireland (HSI) has issued an update on the number of passport applications processed during the week ending January 31st, through Horse Source.
The number completed foal passports issued is now 4501.
There has been a total of 6699 foal passport applications received through Horse Source, of which 6237 are pedigree applications.
To date, 5127 foal kits have been returned from breeders to HSI for pedigree applications, with the number of pedigree foal passports issued to breeders now 4146, equating to 81% of pedigree applications having passports issued, where DNA has been provided by customers.
The total number of non-pedigree applications completed is now 355.
18% of DNA Kits have not been returned to HSI from breeders. Once these are received, we can send them to the laboratory and process their applications.
HSI has processed 91% of applications that have DNA results back from the laboratory. The remainder are currently being processed.
The registrations team in HSI continues to work hard on processing outstanding applications and we appreciate the patience of breeders during this period.
