The second leg of the 3-year-old filly loose jumping took place in Kernan’s Equestrian Centre on the 15th of September. The loose jumping was judged by Dean Rogan and Damien Griffin. There were 28 entries in total, across the two sections for Three Year Olds. Loose Jumping is funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine, under National Breeding Services, and delivered by Horse Sport Ireland.
The 3-year-old Eventing fillies were first into the ring. This was won by Jim Newsam with his filly Wellan Flowtime (ISH), bred by Margaret & Jim Newsam, by Derryveeney Cruise (CP) out of Wellan Mystique (ISH) by Mighty Magic (HOLST). Second place was breeder/owner Jillian Nelsons filly by Alicante (HOLST) out of Dallas Summer (ISH) by Dallas VDL (BWP).
The three-year-old Showjumping section was the last class of the day. This was won by The Hogg Sport Horses filly Ballyheerin Chaccobella (ISH), bred by Ballyheerin Sport Horses, by Chacoon Blue (MECKL) out of ESI Bell Star (ISH), by Dakar VDL (KWPN). Second place was won by Premier Summer (ISH), owned and bred by Dominic Rice. The filly is by Premier Sport (ISH), out of Premier Ebony (ISH), by Cornet Obolensky (BWP).
At each qualifier for horses, the top two highest scoring 3-Year-Old fillies from the eventing and showjumping horse categories will be selected for the final. The final of the 3YO Filly Loose Jumping will take place on 15th October, at Emerald EC.
