ISH & ID Mare Inspections
Background
Horse Sport Ireland will be holding Irish Sport Horse, Irish Sport Pony and Irish Draught Horse mare inspections throughout the country in Spring and Autumn in 2026. The Mare Inspections is funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine, under the Equine Technical Support Fund.
Closing date for receipt of applications is TWO weeks prior to inspection date;

Irish Cob & Irish Cob Part Bred Inspections
Background
Horse Sport Ireland will be holding Irish Cob and Irish Cob Part Bred inspections in September. Please see important information below.
The autumn inspection for 2025 will take place at:
- Creagh Equestrian, County Galway, Tuesday 2nd September
Please note that animals MUST have a passport in order to present for inspection.
Irish Cob animals must be a minimum of 2 years of age to be presented for inspection. Entries close 5 working days in advance of the inspection date. A minimum entry of 15 animals are required for each event to run
Horse Sport Ireland Irish Cob Stallion, Mare and Gelding Inspections are supported by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine Equine Technical Support fund.
