The penultimate leg of the Foal Championship qualifiers took place in Wexford Equestrian on Thursday 4th September. The judges for the day were Emily MacMahon of Lamberstown Stud and former Olympian Mairead Ryan. The day kicked off at midday with pony eventing foals. Katie Tobin’s filly foal Dolvin Wild Winnie (WPCS) took the win here, sire by Derryveeney Cruise (CP), out of Erdyl Rosina (WPB).

The day moved onto the pony showjumping section, won by Lisa Bailey’s filly foal RHL Indigo (ISP), by Jasmines Prince (ISP), out of Timahoe Princess Bluebell (CP), by Moonlight Silver Shadow (CP).

Next class of the day was the busiest class, horse eventing. There were also two traditionally bred foals entered for the TIH prize. The eventing was won by Thistletown Victoria (ISH), another filly foal, bred by Eileen Furlong, by Castlefield Kingston (OS), out of Bonnie (AES), by Foxglen Cruise Control (AES). The winner of the TIH prize went to Michael Goland’s filly by Cult Hero (TB), out of Misty Cruise (ISH)[TIH] by Ballycapple Diamond Cruise (ISH)[TIH].
