Successful pre-Lanaken training session held in Barnadown

The Team Ireland Equestrian Young Horse Squad under the guidance of showjumping Chef D’Equipe, Taylor Vard, held a successful schooling day in Barnadown Equestrian on Monday, September 2nd ahead of the 2024 FEI WBFSH World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses in Lanaken, Belgium.
Thank you to Maurice Cousins and his team in Barnadown for building a water tray into his sand arena to replicate the water tray that the 6- and 7-Year-Old horses will face in the famous Zangersheide Stud in at the Championships in Belgium later this month.
Thank you also to Robert Fagan of Mullingar Equestrian Centre for making his water tray available for use in Barnadown to facilitate this team training.
It will also be a feature of the DAFM Showjumping Development Series, delivered by Horse Sport Ireland; the National Federation at the opening leg of the 2024 Series this Friday, September 6th in the Fagan family’s Co. Westmeath venue.
