Horse Sport Ireland, on behalf of the Irish Sport Horse studbook, are delighted to announce the Approval of the high-performance stallions Rock ‘N Roll Ter Putte (BWP) and Double Pleasure (BE/SIES) for breeding in Ireland.

For his performance at 1.40m CSI4* level, Rock ‘N Roll Ter Putte has been awarded the 3* SJ OP merit in the Irish Sport Horse Studbook.

Rock ‘N Roll Ter Putte (BWP) & Leah Stack competing on the Sunshine Tour. Now fully Approved by the Irish Sport Horse Studbook.
Double Pleasure (BE/SIES), the mount of the reigning European Showjumping Pony individual Gold Medallist Jack Kent, has also been awarded full approval and the 5* SJ OP Gold Merit in the Irish Sport Pony Studbook.
Speaking on the Approval, Olive Broderick of Co. Galway’s Kylemore Stud where Double Pleasure will stand in 2025 had the following to say:
“We were delighted to be able to bring a pony of this calibre to Irish breeders. Achieving a 5* rating from HSI is very rare for any horse in Ireland, not to mind a pony. He has an unbelievable record in the very top of Pony showjumping, being the current European individual Gold Medalist, jumping the whole of the Europeans with zero faults! He is a most beautiful pony, so athletic, so blood but yet so rideable. He has a wonderful temperament, and an exceptional trot and canter. His pedigree is proven on every side, and so he really is a complete package. He joins Tyson, and Womanizer, both 5* stallions, so that makes 3 5* stallions available at Kylemore Stud!”
Horse Sport Ireland review stallion classifications and star rating criteria on an ongoing basis for the Irish Sport Horse and Irish Sports Pony Studbooks. Owners and agents of approved stallions may submit them for star rating review either through their own performance or that of their progeny by contacting [email protected].
