This leg saw a large entry of 150 young horses from five to seven years of age contesting their relevant age categories. Following the trend of the previous two legs, it was the five-year-old section that saw the largest field with fifty-nine entries in total. Thirty-five of these horses successfully navigated Aaron McCusker’s track double clear to share the prize fund. Eleven of the fifty-three entries in the six-year-old section produced a double clear to split their prize fund also.

The seven-year-old section was highly competitive with twenty-six horses jumping a first round clear but with the time deciding the placings, poles fell in the second phase and sixteen horses delivered a double clear round. The fastest of these double clears was the Conrad McGuinness bred Irish Sport Horse gelding CMG Winchester (ISH), ridden by Dermott Lennon. Second place went to young rider Cara McFadden riding Orville Jack (ISH) and third was filled by Kevin Mackey riding Caugherty Ronan (ISH)
