An equal number of horses contested the five-year-old and six-year-old sections with 44 entries a piece. The five-year old horses rose to the occasion with twenty-nine of these young horses producing a double clear round to divide the prize fund. Just over half of the six-year-old entries produced a double clear to also divide the winnings.
