IRELAND’S show jumping team manager Robert Splaine has announced that Darragh Kenny’s horse Imothep will not be available to the Irish squad competing in the European Show Jumping Championships at Aachen, Germany, in August.
Splaine said today: ”Darragh Kenny informed me after Rotterdam, where he was competing as an individual, that Imothep had sustained a minor injury and as a result the combination won’t be available for the European championships.
“This is certainly a big loss as Darragh and Imothep made a major contribution last year in Nations’ Cups and the World Equestrian Games.
“We look forward to seeing Imothep back in action soon and we thank his owners for making him available to us.”
