HSI Breeder Seminar in conjunction with the 2016 National Stallion Parade

  • 14 April 2016, 15:05

The Annual National Stallion Parade take place next Wednesday, 20th April 2016, at 7.00pm at Cavan Equestrian Centre.  This year for the first time HSI will be running a breeder seminar in conjunction with the parade with an exciting panel of speakers including Jack Doyle, Maurice Coleman, William Micklem and Richard Sheane.

The experienced panel will be discussing the model and type of horse required for the modern show jumping and eventing markets.  Breeders will be given a demonstration of linear profiling on showjumping and eventing type horses and the panel will discuss how this information can be used as an aid for breeders when selecting stallions for their mares.

Horse Sport Ireland will also have their stand there and will be available to assist you with Registration, IHB membership renewal, KT Equine and other queries.

Commenting on the upcoming event, Alison Corbally, HSI Director of Breeding and Programmes “This year’s stallion parade and breeder seminar is a must for breeders that want to expand their knowledge of available stallions, market requirements and use of linear profiling in making decisions. There is no entrance fee for the event and I hope as many breeders as possible will attend.  The stallion parade and the seminar will be geared towards helping breeders make the best possible breeding decisions for 2016”.
