Eventing Development Series dates and venues announced

Horse Sport Ireland, in conjunction with the Department for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, is delighted to launch the dates and venues for the 2023 Eventing Autumn Development Series.

This year, the Autumn Development Series will run as five standalone legs with over €50,000 in funding available across the league with prizes for 4-, 5-, 6-&7-Year-Old horses as well as breeders’ prizes.

In 2023, the three Arena Eventing legs of the Autumn Development Series, at Ballindenisk, Killossery Lodge and Wexford EC, will feature pony-only classes for 5- and 6-&7-year-old ponies.

The Autumn Development Series is open to all horses that are either Irish bred or Irish-born as documented on their passport or registered in a DAFM Approved Studbook. That, or registered in a WBFSH-member studbook with a specific breed documented within their studbook passport.

This can include main section studbook equines OR supplementary section studbook equines.

Ponies must have a breed recorded on their passport to be eligible to compete and receive prize money.

Horses and ponies with Identity Documents are not eligible to compete.

Breeders prizes will only be paid to breeders residing on the island of Ireland.

The dates and venues are:

September 17th: Killossery Lodge, Swords, Co. Dublin.
October 8th: Ballindenisk, Watergrasshill, Co. Cork.
October 15th: Milchem Equestrian Centre, Tynagh, Co. Galway.
October 28th: Wexford Equestrian Centre, Tomhaggard, Co. Wexford.
November 12th: Coilog Equestrian, Kilmeague, Co. Kildare.
