Francis Derwin JNR and Florida Springs (ISH) shine in the 7 Year Old ISH SJ Series in Mullingar International Show

Florida Springs (ISH) by Mermus R out of Rockville Star by Kings Master bred by Patrick Smith owned by Francis Derwin ridden by Francis Derwin (Jnr), jumped double clear in a time of 38.33 seconds to win the 7-year-old final of the fifth leg of the Irish Sport Horse Studbook Showjumping Series at Cavan Equestrian.

One of only five double clears in the 7-year-old class, Derwin claimed victory by half a second in a very competitive jump off beating stiff competition from Ethen Ahearne on board BP Winston (ISH).

In the 5-year-old final, four combinations jumped double clear to split the win, while in the 6-year-olds, there were five clear rounds.

There was €9,500 on offer in Mullingar from the Irish Sport Horse Studbook for this leg of the series.

The next leg takes place next weekend in Balmoral on 10^th & 11^th July.
