HORSE Sport Ireland has confirmed that it will nominate Anna Merveldt and Coryolano to represent Ireland in dressage at the Olympic Games in London.
Earlier this week the FEI, the International governing body for equestrian sport, confirmed that Ireland had secured a place in dressage at the games.
The selection decision was made at a meeting of Horse Sport Ireland’s Dressage High Performance Committee yesterday evening (Tuesday). The committee consists of Joan Keogh (Chair), David Lee, Robert Mc Cormick and Norbert Von Cramon.
The dressage competition at the London games runs from August 2nd to August 9th.
Ireland has also qualified an eventing team of five riders, two individual show jumping riders and a team of four riders for the Paralympic Games. One place has also been secured in Modern Pentathlon.
