Michael Murphy and Cleverboy are major medallists once again after they won silver at the European Para Dressage Championships in Riesenbeck.
Murphy, who was a double medal winner at last year’s world championships in Herning, Denmark, put in an exceptional test on his 16-year-old, scoring 79.887% to finish in second position behind Italy’s Sara Morganti and Mariebelle.
Martina Benzinger, from Germany, was third on board Nautika in the Grade I competition.
HSI chief executive, Denis Duggan, said: “Massive congratulations to Michael, and all of his team and support staff.
“Michael is an inspiration and continues to shine on the international stage. He is a testament to Irish Para Equestrianism and we are all extremely proud of him.
“To win medals at the world championships is an exceptional achievement and to back it up with European silver is just phenomenal. Well done, Michael and the team.”
