O’Connor goes for glory at Rolex Kentucky

AUSTIN O’Connor is Ireland’s sole representative at the prestigious four-star Three Day Event at Lexington in Kentucky, USA this weekend.
The Cork-born rider is piloting the Irish Sport Horse Ringwood Mississippi and will compete in the dressage test later today in a star-studded field of the world’s top horse and rider combinations.
O’Connor, who has previously represented Ireland at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, will hope to excel in Kentucky’s challenging cross-country and show jumping courses over the next three days.
Ringwood Mississippi is an 11 year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding by Mark Twain out of Clogh Pride, and was bred by Andrew Doogue.
