Olympic Games Showjumping London 2012

In what was a historic Olympic Games for Irish Showjumping with Cian O’Connor and Blue Loyd (OLD, winning the individual Bronze medal for Ireland, the Irish Sport Horse Studbook also had their best showjumping results in many years at London 2012. Flexible (ISH), the current FEI Showjumping World Cup champion, together with Rich Fellers, represented Team USA. Castlefield Eclipse (ISH) and Paul Estermann, who were originally named as the reserve combination for Team Switzerland, made the team following an incredible run of form in the lead up to the Olympic Games. Both Flexible (ISH) and Castlefield Eclipse (ISH) qualified for the individual Showjumping final finishing 8th (6th team final) and 17th (4th team final) respectively.
