Ireland’s sole representative at the three-star show in Budapest, Paul O’Shea, claimed third place in this afternoon’s (Sunday) 1m60 Grand Prix on board nine-year-old Skara Glen’s Sienna.

The Limerick rider was of only three from the 54-strong field to negotiate the opening round without a fault, but four penalties in the decider meant they had to settle for third overall and a prize of 4,500 euro.

Denmark’s Andreas Schon on Allstar claimed top spot with a second clear in 48.49.
The only Irish rider among a field of 54, Paul O'Shea took third in today's Grand Prix in Budapest
