Shane Carey triumphant in Denmark as Kenny takes runner spot in Florida

Limerick’s Shane Carey took the main class at the 3 star show in Herning in Denmark today.
The former Irish Army Officer, who is now based in Denmark, rode the 10 year old mare ‘Contenance 15’ owned by Adena Springs, to claim the competition ahead of his wife, Denmark’s Linnea Ericsson- Carey.
The maximum fence height in the competition, which counted for Longines World ranking points, was 1metre 45cms.
Meanwhile in the USA, during the Horsware Ireland sponsored Winter Equestrian Festival, Offaly’s Darragh Kenny claimed second place in the Suncast $35,000 class. Kenny was riding ‘Picolo’ owned by Whiterock Farm in a competition where the maximum fence height was 1metre 50cm.
