Wexford rider Bertram Allen resumed his winning ways by taking this afternoon’s (Saturday) Elm Rock Prix at the five-star meeting in Valkenswaard, Netherlands.
Riding Quiet Easy, Allen was first of the international field to tackle the course and delivered a clear round in 58.99, a target which none of the 23 other international riders could match.
Second place went to France’s Patrice Delaveau on Leontine Ledimar Z HDC who went clear in 59.69, with US rider Jessica Springsteen on Davendy S taking third, clear in 59.81.
Later today Allen partners Belmonde in the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix, in which Denis Lynch also competes for Ireland on Abbervail van het Dingeshof.
