Longfield Quinlui (ISH) and Derek McConnell claim victory in Galway County ISH SJ Series

Longfield Quinlui (ISH) by Quintender (HOLST) out of Dshlyi (ISH) by Luidam (KWPN) bred by Seamus Drea, owned and ridden by Derek McConnell, jumped double clear in a time of 47.75 seconds to win the 7-year-old final of the Irish Sport Horse Studbook Showjumping Series at Galway County show today (Sunday). Longfield Quinlui (ISH), was one of only four double clears in the 7-year-old class. McConnell beat off stiff competition from the other combinations who made it through to the final.

In the 5-year-old final, three combinations jumped double clear to split the win, while in the 6-year-olds, there were four clear rounds. There was €9,500 on offer in Galway County Show from the Irish Sport Horse Studbook for these young horse classes. The next leg takes place in Flavours of Fingal Show 28^th & 29^th June.
