Irish domination of this weekend’s Show Jumping fixtures continued in Italy this evening (Sunday), where Co Down’s Conor Swail led an Irish whitewash of the top three places in the Arezzo three-star Grand Prix.
Swail and the 10-year-old gelding Domino van de Valhoeve posted the fastest double clear of a six-horse jump-off, crossing the line in 40.03 seconds to take the top prize of €7500. He was followed in second by Co Waterford’s Peter Moloney and d’Atlantique Royale (40.84), while Meath’s Alexander Butler also filled third place for Ireland with Theoreme du Desir (42.45).
The result comes on the back of excellent results for Irish riders over the past 48 hours in Spain, The United States and in Mexico.
