Tipperary’s Denis Lynch has scored his second win of the weekend at Hamburg in Germany, as he helped Miami Glory to victory in the Global Champions League at the German venue.
Lynch and his team mate Scott Brash (GBR) started the day in pole position after two clear rounds in the first qualifier on Thursday, and the pair were both foot perfect again in the final round to take the winners prize.
Lynch entered the arena as last to jump with the 13-year-old stallion RMF Echo (pictured above), knowing a clear round would give Miami Glory the top prize. The Tipperary rider kept his cool and left all the poles standing, to leave Miami Glory as the only team with a clean score-card over the two rounds.
Hamburg Diamonds now top the Global Champions League table ahead of Bertram Allen’s Valkenswaard United in second, while Denis Lynch’s Miami Glory are now in sixth place overall.
Irish riders were also in good form at Rome’s five-star Nations Cup show in Italy. The feature jump-off class saw Cork’s Shane Sweetnam finish third with Main Road, while Tipperary’s Thomas Ryan grabbed fourth place aboard Quite Zero in a competition won by French rider Mathieu Billot.
