HSI registration unit introduces exciting improvements

Horse Sport Ireland’s registration unit is delighted to announce a new Pay-Online functionality to its IHR Online Portal.

For the first time, customers can now pay for their registration services online removing the need for in-person payments by cash, pay-by-post, or over-the-phone transactions, thereby improving both the security of customers information and the speed of application processing.

This first phase of the Pay-Online upgrades includes Foal registrations and No-Pedigree passports. This functionality is now live and available for immediate use to customers. Additional Pay-Online upgrades will be rolled out over the coming months including Yearling and Older Horse Registrations, Change of Ownerships, Name Registration, and more.

In addition to Pay-Online, a new update has also been recently released giving breeders the ability to search a horse and see if it has had a SNP or MS DNA test completed. Customers can also make a Mare Declaration and check their covering certificates on IHR Online. In the near future, breeders will also be able to track and review their current applications, so they know when to expect their passports.

Horse Sport Ireland is also excited to announce that we have partnered with DPD postal services for their best-in-class track and trace system and a 99% next day delivery. This new service to Horse Sport Ireland is expected soon.

Operations Manager at HSI, Paul O’Connor, said: “These upgrades are a significant step forward in our commitment to faster turnaround times and better supports and services to breeders. Earlier this year we received a lot of feedback from breeders about the delays to their passports and inefficiencies with the service.

“The Registrations team have been working hard this year and have made great strides with 31% faster turnaround times on passports compared to last year against an 11% growth in service demand. The recent enhancements to IHR Online and the partnership with DPD Postal Services are only the beginning as we continue our commitment to offering breeders the best services we can.”

The new payment system is introduced following extensive work behind the scenes which has enabled HSI to link a customers’ IHR Online account with our payments system to allow ease of payment and tracking.

HOW TO USE IHR ONLINE
